Default ATI Theater 550 capturing PAL 480 lines

I'm using GB-PVR version 0.9211 with an ATI Theater 550 Pro capture card, and configured country as New Zealand (PAL B). Live TV is being recorded and displayed as 720x480, but should be 720x576. As an experiment i tried changing country to Australia but no difference. Any ideas?

I see other PAL users have experienced the same problem:

Within the above mentioned thread-link, "Sub" mentioned forcing the standard in the direct.ini, but could you please advise what ForceStandard number equates to PAL-B?

    PAL-B is 16

I think the ATI drivers are a bit buggy. You shouldnt need to set this. Setting the correct country is enough for every other card.

That fixed the problem - thanks

BTW - I'm very impressed with GBPVR!

Hi! Can you recommend some other solution please. I live in Bulgaria and here all cable TV providers broadcast at 2 video standarts (some channels PAL_B other channels PAL_D) If I edit direct.ini file the program stop switching between different capture sources and I lose some of my channels. I will be glad to see solution of this, because GBPVR is the best in my opinion
Now I will switch the standart by hand after every reboot

Sorry, I dont have any other solution for you. The ideal fix would involve ATI correcting the problem in their drivers. No other cards have this problem.
