AverMedia Remote control
I have GB-PVR working with the SoftwareRecorder plugin and an AverTV Studio card. The card comes with a remote control unit, which works fine with the Aver software (the software that came with the AverTV Studio card). But the remote control unit does nothing when I'm in GB-PVR. By the way, this remote control unit sends its signal to a sensor that plugs right into the AverTV Studio card.
I don't know enough about this technology to know what to try next. Any suggestions?

I dont have this remote, so it is not directly supported by GB-PVR.
Something like Girder may allow you to use the remote. Alternatively if it comes with good flexible IR software like the Hauppauge devices, you may be able to configure it to send keystrokes to GB-PVR.

I'm experimenting with the same setup, but no luck on the remote yet. I also noticed that the TV quality in GB-PVR is lower than in the native Avermedia SW.

Definetaky get a USB-UIRT and/or girder if you intend to use this remote.

It's a pretty lame remote, if I'm going to spend any money I'll prob get a PVR-150 with remote
