    Where's my web service gone?

I originally posted this issue in the MVPMC sub forum as an NMT issue, I came back from vacation and after tackling a virus on my server (may not be related) I can't get my NMT to play live TV or recordings through the NPVR interface. I sent my logs to Martin and he said he can't see the web service starting, so I tried to log into NEWA on the localhost and he's right it just times out - so it looks like this is the reason the NMT isn't working.

I need some help trying to get it up and running again, so far I have tried/checked:

interact with desktop is enabled in the service
windows firewall exception is present (will test with it completely off)
re-installed NEWA using the latest build 1.25 via instruction on the wiki (installing a development build)
    http://www.gbpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Manual.NEWA

I'm a bit stumped now, what can I check/do next?

Have you tried running the service under a local admin id rather than system?

How do I do that, what executable do I need to fire up?

Since the post I have tried deleting the web folder and the web config files and re-installing 2.5.5, but that didn't fix it.

Go into Services, select the NPVR Recording Service and go to the Log On tab....

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to have changed anything, thanks for the suggestion though. Anyone have any other ideas?

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled NPVR all together?

Not yet, that is probably next on the list, I also have a hard drive image but it's from December last year so a big step back.

Save your npvr.db3 file and the config file, then reinstall and plop you backups back in..... I think that will work.
