Recording programs not turning red in guide

Hi, moved from gbpvr early in the week and it's been spot on.

Just a minor thing atm, I've set emmerdale and corronation street to record between 8 and 9PM, the timeline at the top has turned red but as you can see not the programs.

This is the first time this has heppened. I've removed all recordings and restarted the service but it still happens. If I set a different program to record in the same timeslot they turn red as usual.

    Thanks for this excellent app.

What happens when you move the highlight over those shows? Does it require more than one key/remote press to move left or right off of them?

Iain is looking for duplicate EPG entries, where one entry overlays another; the only way to tell is see if it takes an extra keypress when moving across the duplicated entries. That has been a possible cause of this issue.

However, I encounter this problem frequently, and absolutely do not have duplicated epg entries. The few times I've cared enough to do something about it, exiting and restarting NextPVR.exe always fixes it. Usually though I just check Pending to make sure the program is indeed scheduled to record, and then ignore it. It's one of those little bugs that I assume will somehow get fixed one day, maybe even by accident.

Yep it does take an extra key press to move across/off the shows. How would I check for duplicate EPG entries?

Are you using the DVB EPG? There is a bug that can cause it to pull in multiple copies of shows if the broadcaster changes the version number in the stream. It's only cosmetic though and your recordings will still happen.

There is an easywork around. Go to Settings->Misc and untick the 'Update DVB EPG during live tv', then go to the Settings->Channels screen and hit 'update epg'. It should be fine from then on.

There is also some kind of issue that if NPVR is running during an EPG update, this happens.
Stopping and re-starting NPVR fixes the issue.
This used to happen, way back, but was fixed, but seems to have re-appeared.
