I'll take that challenge, if someone provides me with the device.

This mobile newa is just a simplified version of NEWA... It has the look and feel of the iPhone through the iui but so far as I could judge, it ran also OK on my Blackberry... On Android Galaxy I have not tested.

It my quick tests this morning, it works fine on the stock ICS browser on both my TouchPad and my Captivate (Samsung Galaxy S). I was able to browse the guide, recorded shows and setup a new recording.

    Nice work!

I too tried it this AM on my Galaxy Note. It works fine but in truth I find Brian's nDroid "smoother" but what I'd really like is a fully funtioning NEWA(adjustable streaming) for mobile.
The folks at VLC say an Android app "is in development" so if I have to wait a little longer for this to come together on the NPVR side that's ok.
    Thanks for the work!

I've been playing around with Splashtop streamer on my Android tablet (it's basically a remote access app) and it works pretty darn well, even with my wimpy home system. And it works OK outside of the home network. I think if someone had enough horsepower it would work great for remote viewing.

    Thanks for the endorsement.

Out of curiosity though, what do you mean by "adjustable streaming"? Are you talking about bitrate/resolution etc?

    Cheers,
    Brian

    yep

I haven't had much success but my upload at present is only 256k but if I knew of something that works I may bump it up. I'll look into Splashtop
