Newbie Hardware Configuration Question

Hello All-

A simple question, I hope.

I've set up the PC with the required hardware (PVR-350) and software. I downloaded the EPG lists, and set up items to record.

My question is, when I want to set up and record, and other issues, do I need to have the PC with a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, or can I do most of the work through the IR remote and TV?

You can completely control gbpvr via the remote. You may want to add the startup of the gbpvr.exe program to a button in the irremote.ini file.

I got it working, but it seems that the GBPVR window needs to have focus in order for it to work.

Now I have to figure out if I can watch the encrypted channels from cablevision- some seem to come through, others do not.

Somewhere in the app there is an option... something like "use direct connection to hauppage remote control". If that works for you, I believe gbpvr doesn't need to be in focus in order to function with the remote.
