As requested, wiki should now allow uploads of .7z and .rar files of up to 10mb (same as .zip files).

Wiki Link Consistency

Dear all,

to try and keep some consistency to any links in the new wiki

http://www.gbpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php

when using internal links (i.e. referring to another page within the wiki) a standard link is great, (keeps the browser navigation in the same window).

If pointing to external links i.e. wikipedia etc it would be good to have these open a new browser window using the
Code:
%newwin%
syntax keeping the initial navigation window still on the wiki.

cheers all

Internal Link Structure

Dear all,

following on from post 3 above on this same thread.

When providing a link to another page within the wiki please use the short form syntax i.e. use

Code:
Channel Logos
and not the full URL. So not this

Code:
Channel Logos
this will ensure that if the domain name changes for the wiki that all internal links will remain unbroken.

cheers

Data Directory Anchor

Dear all,

I should have mentioned this some time ago but I got a bit busy

On this page:

http://www.gbpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.ph...InstalledParts

I inserted an anchor for the data directory as it appears to be quite commonly referred to.

The syntax to use within any wiki page link is:

Data Directory

after the pipe | of course is what you choose to call it. Could be "data directory"

all this does is take someone straight to that part of the page without having to scroll.

cheers

steeb, McBainUK provided a better solution then shrinking the source image to a potentially unreadable size. Using thumbs on the wiki as follows you can meet the wiki design constraint

Code:
(:thumb image1.jpg width=600px :)

(:thumb sd1b.jpg :)
and then a click on the image provides a zoom to full size.

Uses the ThumbnailLinkToImage pmwiki plugin. It's simple but effective: http://www.gbpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.ph...ailableRecipes
