    ML3 Nightly testing

Thanks to everyone for comments on the other thread that was hijacked, but to be fair the title wasn't clear. I figured I'd start over making it clear this thread is for experienced ML2/3 users. New users feel free to post in a new thread, I am not really in a position to support general ML3 questions yet.

Anyway I am going to try and post "nightly" releases now, things are finally starting to work more or less like I want to on the PCH, and I can even play in tkgafs mode for hours, but I am going to need some more feedback to really kick this up. This is key.

There are still a lot of things that don't work, but now my highest priority is reducing the number of reloads from the database. I hope this will allow ML3 to retain it's position in Artist list which is my pet peeve and maybe fix other odd thing.

As I go I'd like to anyone interested to post their number 1 priority fixes. There's too many directions to go to get them all, so I figured I'd start at the top and work down. If anyone wants to maintain a master list of all problems major and minor feel free, that would help too.

@newyankee regarding the keys, I figure the keys are going to change to be more like GBPVR. I am trying to reduce the number of dialogs, so if you hit stop while playing you will need to select the "Last Played" playlist to reopen it.

Attached please find the first update for your listening pleasure. ML2 and ML3 must be installed first. Here is how I switch from ML2 to ML3 http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php...6&postcount=12

Again this is not a general ML3 support thread.

    Thanks,

    Martin

And that will be just fine.

Priorities take a bit of thinking and organizing on us users and testers. But it works and that's a great start - thanks Martin. More to follow.

Does this work with blue skin only?

Right now I am only tweaking the blue skin, but I don't think the CS skin works with ML3 anyway. Copy the files in the archive to blue folder and then remove any MusicLibary3 skins for the flavour of CS you are using. Fatman_do mentioned he hadn't done major work on it anyway.

Sure, since I won't be doing much testing on the MVP it's worth having a look.. If there's a show stopper I'd like to know earlier rather than later, and then I can fire the MVP up. Don't expect it to be like ML2 yet but I'd still like to know the biggest areas to focus on.

    Here is the update

    - remove re-init of Active (returns to proper screen after screen saver and leaving ml3
    - improved elapsed time on the NMT

Next up trying to fix stop not modifying display list after stop.

CS skins+ML3 were working at the latest published change, but I would recommend copying the blue skin version to the CS folders during this testing period in case there are any skin changes.
