Making XML TV guide file
I don't know if my title is correct. Currently I only had HVR 1600 connected to comcast cable(no receiver box) and have schedule direct (setup guide HD channels only )for my EPG .And as of now I added a satellite receiver (directTV-permanently on one channel from my country) and output to the HVR 1600 S-video and audio input. And its configure as one source (s-video,external tuner).Assign as channel 1 on the guide. I have a Program guide booklet for the channel but I don't know how to do or write to an xml format so that it will display to gbpvr guide. I have a xml file from yapi2xml and I don't know if I can use this by editing the contents of this file. Can you help me or guide to do this.
TV guide.xml compiled by djkxml (NZ). Structure seems logical enough. Hope this helps.
First off, you probably don't want to rely on yapi2xml for the long term. The source is frequently down or altered and yapi2xml is no longer supported.

To automate the process of updating your xml file, you will need a batch file. Look here http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/U.../YApi2XML#toc8
I recommend against using yapi2xml. Try mc2xml instead: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/MC2XML
After you get data in the database for that source, edit your recording source (check boxes next to the channels you want displayed in the guide) go here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/C...hannelMappings and here http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Config/Channels
Thanks. I used the attached xml and edit accordingly to the program schedule. And now it shows up on the guide. I write the guide 5 days schedule monday to friday since it has the same program schedule so I just copy and paste and just changed the date. Saturday and Sunday has different program scheduled. Since this program schedule from Monday to Sunday is just the same for succeeding weeks (or just cycle again). So every week I will changed the date on the xml file. My question is is there any way to do it easily by not doing every line on the file to changed the date? Thank you very much for the help.
