Unhappy Stutter when buffer file reaches large size?

Well, I thought I had my stuttering problems under control. Unfortunately, watching a long show still has issues.

About 30min of watching the same channel, or right after the Live TV buffer hits 4GB's, I get real bad stuttering, both audio and video. It doesn't matter if there's fast action onscreen or not. For some reason, only QAM does this. Even long programs with over 4GB of buffer on analog channels are fine.

If I close the program and restart it, creating a new buffer file, the stutter is gone.

Is there any way to limit the buffer file size or have it split into a new file after it gets to a certain size?

What file system are you using on your recording drive? IIRC, you must have NTFS to be able to create files larger than 4GB.
    E4600 Core2Duo, 4GB RAM, Win7 Pro, HD5570, Hauppauge PVR-500, HDHomeRun Prime, NPVR 3.1.1, 2 Popcorn Hour A-100's and a partridge in a pear tree...
On a clear disk, you can seek forever...

Both client and server are running XP Pro x64 on NTFS partitions.
