Just to clarify from a previous post a while ago, do we need to start the telnetd for the mvpmcx2 to work? Previous post said no, but I've seen posts that say things don't work unless you do start it.
Thanks,
Greg

Server:
GBPVR 1.4.7
Capture: Hauppauge PVR-150MCE
Clients:
Media MVP: 2 wired(default dongle), 1 wireless(mvpmc dongle)
PCH A-100: 1 (mvpmcx2)
telnetd is not needed for anything other than debugging and the initial confirmation that the configuration is good.

Ah, I thought we needed both. Yes, it does work with only GB-PVR![]()
C2Duo E8400, 4GB, GE8600GT, PCH A-100, HVR2200, NPVR 1.5.31, Win 7 x64.
Since the title of the thread might be confusing
-you need to start the Telnet script every time you power up you PCH and want to run GB-PVR and it must be run first.
- you then need to start the GB-PVR script to get to start mvpmcx2
Afterwards say you use the power off key to go back to the normal PCH screen you only need to run GB-PVR
What ggee is asking (I think) is within the Telnet script the telnet server (utelnetd) is copied to the PCH and started. You can remove these lines if you want but I'm quite sure sub and I will expect that it is there should we need some questions answered.
