Question Aver M780 on Wndows Server 2008 Build 6001

    Hi,

I'm pretty new to GB-PVR (v1.1.5). Common theme hunh? Tried it a while back, but never got it working - time for round 2...

I have Aver MediaCenter & drivers installed.

    In GB-PVR config,

I add the recording source (tried as device 1 & 2). Configure EPG & import channels. Works fine.

When I try to do the digital mapping I get unable to start BDA device

Device looks fine in Device Manager, but should 2 tuners be listed?

Muxchecker gives "no multiplexer filters" even though PowerDVD 7 is installed.

I attached filmerit check. It seems to have found errors with the driver configuration, but the magic ball button didn't fix them.

I'd appreciate any advise to get this working

Can you run the FilterCheck.exe utility in the gbpvr directory, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log that gets produced?

Can you try doing that scan again, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log files?

The current problem shown in that log is that you've got the device number set to #2. It should be set to #1.

Try it as #1. If that doesnt work, post those logs again.

2008-01-21 19:13:35.347 ERROR Could not CoCreate SystemTuningSpaces
It Looks like something that is normally present on installs of Windows is missing on Windows Server 2008. I'm not sure what you'd have to install to get the SystemTuningSpaces installed. Maybe DirectX if there is one compatible with Windows Server 2008.

I'm pretty sure you've not see this device working on any software this your machine?

2008 has directx 10 - dxdiag shows no problems.

Aver Media Center crashes on launch.

Yeah, I'm guessing it has the same problem. Sorry I'm not really sure what to suggest. It needs these tuning spaces to be available for things to function.
