    dbv-t usb

So, finally they shut down our analogue signals. Which quickly rendered an order from the wife: fix things. Buy a new tuner. Now.

    Ok

I don't have any PCI slots available, which leaves me the option of USB. I assume that Hauppauge nova-t usb2 is the way to go?

Edit: please excuse my typo in the thread title...

By the way... do I need more horse power to capture things to mpg with a nova-t than with an analogue card? Hoping i won't bite the dust with the nova-t =)

You should be OK, dvb-t broadcasts don't need encoding to mpeg, might be worth checking your machine is USB 2 compatible, iirc USB 1 transfer rates are too low for it to work properly.
