Post your questions relating to the core components of GB-PVR here
Since I get so many questions about multiplexers, I've created a utility to help people see which multiplexers are installed on their machine, where they are installed, and what version they are. You can download it from http://www.gbpvr.com/MuxChecker.zip
I've made this sticky (closed) thread to post useful information about problems that may arise, or to get useful tips out there. I'll add more information to this thread as we start to get feedback from this new release. If anyone has info they feel should be included here, please PM me.
Make your thread title and description useful!! It's really pointless to post just a message saying GBPVR is broke!!. At least if you're going to post that, say that GBPVR is broke in Live TV, or in Music Library. Try and give some indication in the title of what you were doing when the error...
Did a scan last week on nPVR and found a few SBS channels. Would like to add those to my regular GBPVR setup via dvbtoxml. Any idea what lines I'd need to add? Ta
Is there any easy way of finding out (outside of GBPVR) the path / filename of the file that GBPVR is currently recording to? Brian
Hi I have just added a second sound card to my PC so that I can get GBPVR to output to my TV while having normal sound on my PC. I am using the ffdshow Audio Decoder and have changed the Audio Renderer from "Default DirectSound Device" to "DirectSound: Speakers...". This works for everything...
I installed V 1.2.13 and everything was fine. I updated WindowsXP to Servicce Pack 3 last night and today I have a problem using PVRX2. When I open PVRX2 and try to accessTV Guide, Recordings or any other menu item except System it crashes and I get an Unhandled exception. Here is the...
Hello, First of all, CONGRATULATIONS, brilliant forum!!! I've already done some things that I found here to have GB-PVR up and running. As I'm really new in this kind of environment, I hope that I'm not doing a stupid question ;) GB-PVR runs properly to see movies, pictures and so on......
I have a Pentium 4 2.8GHZ am considering an upgrade to Intel Pentium D 945 Dual Core 3.40Ghz. Will there be any improvement with GBPVR?
Hi, I'm using 1.4.7 on XP with a Digital Now Tiny Twin DVB-T. It's been working flawlessly for some time using DVR-MS, however I recently purchased a PCH A110 so have been experimenting with various MPEG2 MUX's as the PCH does not support DVR-MS. I have 2 main issues: 1. Have never been able...
Hi everyone, I have been going round and round in circles and spent ages trying to solve this problem. I am running a bare HTPC running XP sp3, 3GB Ram, 9600GT 1GB video card and a Hauppage Nova -500TD. I have cyberlink PowerDVD 10 installed and when playing TS files in there from the...
I just set up GBPVR with all my settings again after a reinstall of my OS. I am trying to get everything working again, but I keep getting a blue screen with a static sound whenever I try to watch live TV. I have a Hauppauge HVR2250 (I'm pretty sure). I installed the drivers. I don't have...
I'm probably missing something very simple here, but here's my scenario. I recently moved to win7 from XP. I copied my GBPVR folder to the new win7 installation, in the usual place. I installed GBPVR over top of the copied files. After a little config, all seemed well. Since then,...
Has anyone else noticed they seem to get chunks of info missing from some channels when using subs utility? Especially TV3 - a lot of days I seem to have a chunk missing from 6pm - 9pm (or more) it will appear then disappear. Prime was doing it the other day, and some other higher channel...
Sub, Thought I might try this for the USB-UIRT Changer in NPVR? Is there any posbility of a copy of the utility USBUIRTSEND.EXE utility you wrote as per these posts ? The utility is no longer attached to the post. ...
To The Author of GBPVR - Fantastic Software, Thank you muchly. Dear All, I've had a look through the forum and have noticed a number of queries regarding the FM radio feature not appearing in the selection list. I have however not found a solution. I am using version 1.3.7 with a LeadTek 1800...
Is it just me, or have we stopped picking up the details for Film4, ITV4 and a few others. I'm on the Sandy Heath transmitter.
When I attempt to watch a channel while recording it says there are no tunners avaiable and gives me the option to either, watch the program being recorded or cancel the recording. Should it just work or is there something to configure? Thanks, Croftie
Version 1.4.7 - XP Pro SP3 Your EPG sources does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source Settings and try again. System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (505) Http Version Not Supported. I disconnected the PC from internet for about 10 days....
I use comskip in parallelprocessing.bat and it works fine with the exception where I have 2 consecutive recordings on the same channel, the second program does not get comskip.
My system is working so well, and has needed so little tweaking recently that I'm reduced to reporting only this minor but important issue: 1. When I skip backwards, especially after the video has been paused, the skip often goes forwards. The workaround is to hold down the skip button to get a...
Hey all. I'm using GBPVR 1.3.11 (yes I know, time to upgrade. That's coming... one thing at a time), and I'm having some trouble with DVD playback. I have a DVD that a friend made for me from a DVR of some kind. It is a standard DVD (MPEG-2 audio and video streams. G-Spot confirms this). The...
I was reading a bit of this thread here: http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?46852-No-sound-with-TS-Mux, and JohnnyCam said something in relation to post-processing a ts file that piqued my interest: I was thinking of post-processing my recordings through some sort of TS Fixer, as I...
