I have recently upgraded NVPR to v2.6.2 and now I find Music Monkey no longer works.
I have uninstalled Media Monkey and re-installed the latest version v4.07.1511, removed all the Music Monkey files from the NVPR data directory and replaced them with new downloaded versions, but to no avail Music Monkey still refuses to work.
Basically although Media Monkey works from a desktop shortcut or start menu, the Music Monkey plugin fails to start Media Monkey, and the opening NVPR screen has '@str' at the top trying to open 'Genres@ gives the Message 'Error -press Escape to go back' any other press gives the nPVR 'Unhandled exception has occurred' Error box!!
Has anyone any ideas I would really like to get this plugin working again
Running on Win 8 Pro 64 bit
Thanks
Bob

Hi,

First let me say iGL is great, and with most current programming works fantastic in terms of renaming for purposes of XBMC scraping.

I'm having some problems with some syndicated kids shows on German television. I use the --nfo and --rename tags. The shows have subtitles and can be found on tvdb, will pull art but will then rename the file with a fictional S##E## nomenclature, and not create an nfo file. XBMC is then unable to scrape the file, meaning it won't show up in the XBMC TV Shows database.

If I use only the --nfo tag it works fine, creating an nfo file that XBMC will use to populate the TV Shows database with a fictional episode number. But this is not satisfactory because for most other shows the --rename tag operates much better.

My understanding from reading some related threads (see, e.g., http://forums.gbpvr.com/showthread.p...258#post447258 ) is that that where true S##E## info cannot be provided by tvdb, that iGL should create an nfo file rather than creating a false, unscrapeable filename. That would certainly be my preference, however that does not seem to be happening.

Let me know if you need some more info, logs, or a db, or if I haven't explained this well. Getting these kids shows properly imported into XBMC is one of the final hurdles I'm facing with respect to attaining a fully functional XBMC.

Here is a sample log file (run from the command line) for one such show, Wickie und die starken Männer. However, I'm getting the same results with several other kids' shows on the same channel:
Here's what I used to get - "Once Upon a Time.S02E01.Broken.ts"
Is there a parameter I can use to drop the (yyyy) from the file name? I'd like to keep the file names all uniform to match what I already use so when I list a directory through windows they show up in chronological order.

I'm using Schedules Direct if that makes a difference.

With a new HTPC being built, I've been expanding my use of NPVR from just a recorder to a full system, and I have appreciated all the work done, not just by sub, but by many plug-in and utility creators - my thanks to the makers of ImageGrabLite, TV Listings, MusicMonkey, SubMenu, System, and Movies (hope I didn't forget anyone). With the help of these people, I have things running pretty close to the way I want them to look.

There were a couple of things that I wanted to do, that I didn't see anyone had done, so I put them together myself. As they currently exist, they are rough, simple things, since only I need to be able to mess with them. I had thoughts of cleaning things up a bit, and offering it here, but frankly I have no idea if anyone at all would be interested, and didn't want to go to the effort just to see no one much cared about the same things I had. So, I thought I would post here what I've done, and see if anyone else was interested.

One thing I like about the Titan TV listings available online is the ability to put together a list of favorite programs. Then you can apply filters to the listings, to show only favorites, or new shows, or favorites that are new. I didn't see any way to do the same with NPVR, so I came up with the best approximation I could. I add to the genre listings for each program, adding in a genre "New" for programs that the EPG indicates are new, and "Favorite New" for new programs that are on my favorites list. I can then use the built-in genre coloring to highlight those in the listings, making it clear at a glance what I want - or might want - to record.

So, like I said, not a big thing, and no idea whether anyone else would be interested. I figure a lot of people probably do recurring recordings, but I like to schedule most things every day in order to have more control over where it goes, so I like to be able to see this stuff. Anyway, if you might be interested, you can let me know here on the board, or in a private message, and if I get any interest I'll try to put something together in a prettier package than what it is now (text files, scripts, manual editing of database files, etc).

Thanks.

Is there a way to get Pandora to fire up from within NPVR, a second goal would be to be able to use the IR remote to close Pandora and be back in the NPVR interface (for best WAF : )

I see that a util or plug-in was removed in early 2012 or so due to Pandora changes. I saw a reference to use "the Kylo full-screen browser" but that was a bit old also, and I haven't been able to figure out what that reference was pointing to or how it worked.

Thank you!

Every time I try to tune to a station in NPVR, no matter what station, the video blocks/freezes up after about 1 second. I've tried several different rendering and decoder options/combinations, and they all have had essentially the same result...

Okay, so I'm building a new system to replace our cable company DVR, so I've started using NPVR to record some of my daughter's shows, and wonder how IGL decides to use "daily rules" on programs. She has me record the Ellen Degeneres show, TMZ, and American Idol. IGL is unable to rename Ellen or TMZ, citing "no episode data", and when it renamed American Idol, it did so, "Using daily renaming rules".

So, wondering how this gets done. IGL logs attached.

Thanks.

I have updated imageGrabLite's wiki page with a small update when using the --nfo option Previously when a file was renamed iGL would delete the tvshow.nfo and episode.nfo. It now keeps tvshow.nfo when the Series name and the NextPVR series name are different. Two recent shows I am getting "The Americans" and "Zero Hour" need to have (2013) for XBMC and iGL is properly naming the files, but because the folder doesn't have the year XBMC scrapes them as the original series.

A future update to iGL might rename the folder if this doesn't work out reliably.
