Weird problems editing time in manual recoding

I think there are some problems in the locale handling of time input fields.
In the manual event recording popup, I'm unable to change the "Start time" and "End time" field. Clicking on the "..." button gives me only the possibility to clear the time, and for every time I write I get a "Nan.Nan" or other weird results.
I live in Italy and we use 24 hour format with a colon between minutes and hours. I've tried a dot between hours and minutes, and get funny results: if I write "10.00", the editing value is automatically changed to "22.10", if I write "00.10", I get "12.00"

Tried with both Chrome and IE 9, using the latest NextPvr version.

Newa on Server Essentials 2012

Hi Guys,

I try to get nextpvr running on a WSE 2012 and want to use NEWA directly with the integrated IIS. Is there any guide or how-to available to make this possible?
The idea behind this is to use the integrated encryption of IIS for external access from the internet.
I tried to get it running with the actual build of newa and the the information on the guide is already visible, but it looks as something is missing as the icons are misplaced (View attachment). Furthermore it is not possible to view live TV.

Hope someone can help me.

More streaming woes

Hope you can help me out, I've used newa for scheduling stuff but never dabbled with streaming or downloading - but now i have an emergency. I'll be in France for the first f1 race - no problem i thought it'll be on French tv. To my suprise i checked the schedules today and learnt it has gone pay tv in France.

So I'm assuming i'll have wifi and my android tablet so i thought my best option would be to use newa - but i'm damned if i can get it working. I can download the raw recording from newa but the size will be too big so ideally i need it to transcode and download the file for viewing later.

Server is win7 x64 and i'm running vlc 2.0.3 x32 & newa 1.31 if i try streaming from newa on a localhost i can see vlc fire up in task manager but nothing else happens. Vlc uses no cpu and i can't connect to the stream.

I've tried a lot of the things in this thread as it seems similar:

NEWA - Wishlist Item - Exceptions

Hi UJB,

A couple of wishes that'd be great to have included in NEWA, if not too complicated?

1. I sometimes have occasion to autorecord all games marked (Live) on a specific channel (SETANTA SPORTS), EXCEPT for some types (e.g. with the text "NRL"). See attached e.g. So I'm looking for an Autrocrecord option for a phrase, but with another field (exception phrase, using say commas or semei-colon delimited list).

2. An AND option. e.g. All games marked (Live) AND with only "Crusaders, Hurricanes, Chiefs, Highlanders, Blues" in the Title (or description).

How to View Live with External Player instead of VLC plugin?

Dear Experts,

I am running Win7 64bit, Chrome for NEWA.
NEWA comes with NextPVR 2.5.9.

In the TV guide of NEWA, if I click "View Live" at left side of the grid, it pops up a VLC window trying to play live TV. But not successful.

How could I get it to play with an external player?
In the "Config", I have checked "Open Stream in External Player", but it has no influence.

Do I have to use Firefox even for View Live with External Player?

NEWA Blue Artifacts insteda of TV-Guide

I have for quite some time now often experienced blue areas instead of TV-guides for various TV-channels in NEWA.

Same thing for several PC's and for 3 different browsers (Chrome, Firefox and IE). The areas may move when updating the EPG.

Foto example, nPVR-log and Web-log attached.

Im running the newest nPVR with Fixpack2.

So far I have not been able to see any systematic in the showing, except that it often shows 2-3mm of the program guide just before the blue area. This is shown in the attached foto.

Any ideas ?

NEWA Weirdness

I recently deleted several channels form the "Channels" in settings, and ever since then, NEWA has only shown me the first channel and appears to have the subsequent channels "chopped off" in the guide2.aspx.

I am running 2.5.9 with the latest patches.

Been a few days since i had touch NEWA and i came today to modify my recurrent schedule and when i click on any show, i get

Server Error in '/' Application.



Runtime Error



Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. 



Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a  tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This  tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".











    

        

    





Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's  configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

I tried http://forums.gbpvr.com/showthread.p...607#post450607 but i get the same problem. Im guessing this problem is also the reason Recurring Recordings in X-NEWA shows Unknown for Channels.

Recording failed - repeatedly for specific shows

After the help of a generous forum member, I was able to get updated to the latest and greatest version of NEWA. I am for whatever reason unable to schedule seemingly specific shows though.
From just guessing, this seems to be the area of concern but I have attached all the logs as I am very possible incorrect.

I tried to set a series recording for "NCIS" on Sunday for example and it would not take it no matter what after trying multiple times, but then I tried setting a series recording for "Last man standing" and another random show in the same time slot and it worked the first try.

Please let me know if I can provide you with any more info, I am loving this setup so far and have switched to XBMC+NextPVR almost exclusively now from WMC.

Troubles Installing a developmental build

I'm usually pretty good at figuring out any issues I come across either by playing around or reading forums/googling. That being said, I am having some issues with NEWA and I'm hoping somebody can help me.

I've been having issues setting series recordings where I will get an error message saying "recording failed" for no apparent reason. I was looking to upgrade to the latest version of NEWA for the bug fixes, and new features - especially mobile access, but while trying to follow the steps in the Documentation at http://www.gbpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Manual.NEWA, it says to

- Delete all contents and directories in the \web folder (except for the bin directory...removing this will cause NextPVR to reinstall the default version of NEWA)
- Delete only the taglib-sharp.dll, System.Web.Extensions.Design.dll, System.Web.Extensions.dll, eWorld.UI.dll, Rss.dll, Rss.pdb, Rss.Net.dll and svg.dll files from the web\bin directory
- Extract the zip into your NextPVR data directory using the option to use directory names. This will load all the files into your \web directory and subdirectories.

In my C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR - the only folder I have is "other". Isn't that were the \web folder should be?

Also, it says to delete only the "taglib-sharp.dll, System.Web.Extensions.Design.dll" etc files from the web\bin directory but when I perform a search on my machine for those files individually, they are all in separate folders such as "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Tem porary ASP.NET Files\root\0a635572" - I could go through and manually delete each one but that doesn't seem like the proper way according to the guide.

If anybody could assist me, that would be greatly appreciated!

NEWA Recording and Cancel Recording buttons missing now -- help

After changing NPVR 2.5.9 Media folder locations to another drive, NPVR crashed hard and recordings failed. Not sure why this happened since my Recording directory never changed....just media folders.

After restarting NPVR, everything is behaving strangely with NEWA. NEWA works, but no options exist for recording any episodes -- or canceling recordings that already exist.

In the process of constantly restarting recording service, rebooting XP to no avail....I updated the NPVR patch level to the latest R2 patches for this release. That didn't help. Then I updated the latest NEWA build 1.31 to see if that helped. Nothing changed.....no option to record or cancel recording any longer.

live streaming - am i missing something

i'm getting my npvr all set up, i got newa running and i can stream my recordings, but i don't see any options for streaming a live feed. am i missing something here?

NEWA was working but after not using it for a while it's gone bad.
I was able to stream video to a WAN PC but now I cannot.
I can stream music and I can "play" a video for about 5 secs.
