Hello,
When I'm (re)starting the Recording Service, a popup shows up which says:
Quote[/b] ]
Cannot start service from the command line or a debugger. A Windows Service must first be installed (using installuril.exe) and then started with the ServerExplorer, Windows Services Administrative tool or the NET START command.
Also, an errors shows up when pressing the 'Live TV' button:
Quote[/b] ]
Failed to communicate with the GB-PVR Recording Service. This software is possibly not running. After rebooting, try again.
What to do!? http://gbpvr.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Thanks in advance,
Frank
I'm not sure why its not there. You could try manually installing it.
From a command prompt, change into the C:\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR directory. Run "installutil GBPVRRecordingService.exe". Then reboot.
Installutil may not be in you path. It'll be in a directory like C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322, so you may need to stick that path in front of the installutil command
After that, you may also have to do the following.
Can you try changing into the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr (or your equiv)
directory from command prompt and run the following.
regsvr32 GBPVRWriter.ax
regsvr32 asyncflt.ax
regsvr32 ovtool.dll

Done that, but still doens't work http://gbpvr.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
So what happened when you used installutil? Either it successfully installed the service, or it gave you an error message.
Can you see if you have a GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log file (probably in \windows\system32). If so, email it to me.

Everything was completed successful afaik.
I sent you the logfile.
So what happens when you try and start the 'GB-PVR Recording Service' using the Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services icon?

Nothing special http://gbpvr.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif It just starts, says it's successful and that's it!
Actually dont worry about GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log, because the last one you sent just arrived. Send me the direct.log and gbpvr.exe.log

Ok, i sent those two http://gbpvr.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Thanks again for your support!
tjetta, I've sent you an email. Direct.log indicates that something is wrong in your settings for the Direct Recording plugin.
