I'm using these remote commands (Hauppauge 45 button, XP) to control volume with the VolumeOSD plugin for NPVR:

VOLUP={app(0xa0000)}
VOLDOWN={app(0x90000)}

Does the plugin respond to any other commands for VOLUP or VOLDOWN?

The plugin doesn't listen for or respond to any volume commands itself. It just watches the volume lines for changes and then show the current volume status on screen.

If you post the npvr.log file it'll say what volume line it's monitoring. Post #21 of this thread (http://forums.gbpvr.com/showthread.php?48701-Volume-OSD-plugin-for-nPVR/page2&highlight=UseWaveOutVolumeLine) might help.

OK, that's what I thought was happening, rather than passing the command through.

I have the volume working with the commands shown in the first post, but is there any way to get the hauppauge remote mute button to function?

Look for the "MUTE={ctrl}m" command here: http://www.gbpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Hardware.Hauppauge45ButtonRemote

I had seen this, but ctrl-m on the keyboard with NPVR in focus has no effect whatsoever. Any other ideas?

This works with the 45 button remote: MUTE={app(0x80000)}. There should be a way to map this to a keystroke, if needed.

Thank you very much, that works fine.

Great! I've updated the wiki page to reflect this.
