I'm trying to get GB-PVR up and running but I can't get hold of any TV schedules. Everything I have found so far has pointed to Ananova but their website says
"Sorry, but Ananova is no longer able to bring you TV listings."
Could someone point me in the direction of an alternative source for the UK version of the XML file please

Oh bugger!
I've just checked - my download from ananova last night worked - the listings were still available last night in xml format, but they are showing as not available in HTML form.
Looks like we may need to find another route - have a look on xmltv.org and search for the UK.
Cheers,
Andy

xmltv uk script uses the xml feed from annanova. So unless they keep the xml feed going looks like another source has to be found,
Colin.

The ananova xml feed is dead... my download failed last night.
Cheers,
Andy
Yes, I've also heard from other sources that its no more. Bugger...
I'm sure someone will come up with another XMLTV source for the UK in no time.

Anyone know of another source yet?
from what I can tell from reading other forums:
MythTV users are on the case:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/perl/mailarc/gforum.cgi?post=103065
It should be possible to transform these XML listings
http://www.bleb.org/tv2/data/listings/
into XMLTV - not sure if anyone is working on this:
http://www.bleb.org/tv/maillist/msg00069.html
Digiguide can't help:
http://forums.digiguide.com/topic.a....d=12333 (http://forums.digiguide.com/topic.asp?whichpage=1&pagesize=15&id=12333)
Ed at XMLTV is working on a replacement:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.tv.xmltv.general/730/
I'm sure something will turn up soon!
Andy
Just come in now from the MythTV mailing list:
"Yes, grab the latest CVS version of tv_grab_uk_rt. It has been recently fixed"

Thanks for those links - interesting reading.
PaulMc has just pointed out a new Windows based grabber for the UK that will grab its listings from bleb.org. You can download it from http://www.rubiconsystems.com/tv/grabepg.zip

Cool! Quick!
Lackng a little automation... http://gbpvr.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
Anyone got any ideas?
I'm downloading from bleb, specifying XMLTV format and it imports perfectly into GBPVR without having to do any reformating or anything.
I've got a batch file with the following line in it:
explorer "http://www.bleb.org/tv/data/listings?days=-1..6&channels=bbc1,bbc2,itv1,ch4,five&format=XMLTV "
It provides a zip file with an XMLTV file in it.

Can you tell me alittle more about what you are looking for?
The idea was to provide an interface to the bleb.org data. *It also unzips the file after downloading.
If it useful and people suggest ideas then I'll improve the program.

I have updated the program with command line parameters to allow it to run without the GUI. *The included readme.txt describes the changes.

You work nearly as quickly as Sub http://gbpvr.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Thanks Paul, thats really useful now I can have a button which fetches the data, and loads it into GBPRV completely non interactively.

Paul> Sorry, been offline for AGES!
Thats exactly what I was looking for. I set up a schedule to run every night, it downloads, GBPVR updates and the guide is always upto date. No clicks, programs or fiddling.
Life is good again!
