Widescreen (16:9) MVP

I'm gradually getting a Nova-T card and MVP unit working. I've noticed that the MVP output from a recording is in 4:3 format (on the PC the whole widescreen image is there). How do I get the full 16:9 picuture via the MVP?

OK now - solution was to install the Hauppauge MVP software, go into settings, set the widescreen option then uninstall the Hauppauge software (so it does not mess with GB-PVR). Will GB-PVR ever be able to access these sttings directly?

Whilst doing this I noticed in the setup that I only had a choice of composite or S-Video. I have a scart version of MPV and expected to see an option for RGB also. Does anyone have any experience on what the european unit is actually outputs?

Do you know where hauppauge stores these settings, registry or file?

If we can find out where we can make a tool to easily modify them.
