Some videos that are dvd rips converted to mpeg are zoomed in too big and get chopped off. How can this be fixed..Also is there a way to leave the list of videos instead of the thumbnails by default..

I've not seen the problem with the zoomed/chopped video.

There is an option in the config app to 'use icon view' which dictates whether list or icon view is used.

talking about video not menu. menus look fine, just some video like it would say "a film by tony scott" it when it plays on the tv it says "a film by tony sco"

sounds more like an issue of a widescreen film beind displayed as 4:3. That would give the effect of being zoomed in/chopped,
