I have a MediaMVP, and would like to use GB-PVR. I have an old (read non-GBPVR compatible) tv tuner card. Given that the GB-PVR has hardware-bassed MPEG2 decoding, do still need to get a newer tv tuner card?

The TV functions of GB-PVR will only work capture devices with a hardware MPEG2 encoder, like the PVR250 etc.

I just answered the same question in another post today: http://gbpvr.com/cgi-bin....#entry2 (http://gbpvr.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=6;t=84;st=0;&#entry2)

The short answer is it *may* be supported, but I dont have one of these cards so cant confirm it.
