I am considering purchasing an Xcard for my HTPC but have
found that they cost NZ$444.70 +tax each! from PCGear.

I can buy one direct from Sigma (USA) for at least half that! Crazy.... http://gbpvr.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

Anyway I did some quick research and found that www.Provantage.com
sell them for US$83.14 ea plus US$48.30 shipping to NZ. (US$131 = NZ$201)

If I buy two, the shipping is US$62.20. (Total US$228 / US$114 ea = NZ$175ea)

Total cost for 2 is less than NZ$400 so we don't have to pay Tax when it comes into the country.
(If I buy 3, then I get hit with NZ$62 in Tax so it is not worth it)

So anyone in NZ want to purchase one at the same time??

PS Sub - Where did you get yours??

I got mine from Provantage about January this year.

I must agree - much cheaper than buying this device from the couple of places that stock it locally!

IIRC you can get them for NZ$330 + GST if you shop around.

I also recall seeing them for AU$185 in Aus, but am not sure what the freight cost would be.

Hey Sub, which would you recommend out of a '350 and an XCard (for GBPVR specifically) ?
